Patsy Cline´s dynamic vocals were bluesy and polished - different from anything heard before. Her big break came in 1957 when Patsy Cline attained national fame after she sang "Walking´ After Midnight" on Arthur Godfrey´s Talent Scouts television show. The song brought down the house and became her first hit recording. Her innoative musical styling became a major factor in teh controversial, new "Nashville Sound" that emerged in the late 1960´s. On March 5, 1963, Patsy Cline perished in a plane crash as she returned from a benefit concert in Kansas City. Her timeless appeal has made her the most imitated female singer in history.
