Pretty Miss Norma Jean became a household name thanks to her appearances on the Red Foley Ozark Jubilee and the Porter Wagoner Television show. In her second release for Heart of Texas Records, Norma Jean selected twelve of her favorite gospel songs to create Norma Jean's Cowboy Church Gospel.
This newly recorded album contains some old standards including "The Old Country Church" "A Beautiful Life" "Gone Home" "When The Saints Go Marching In" and "What A Day That Will Be?"Â Norma also took a couple of great country songs-"Thank You For Loving Me" and "Heavenly" and breathed new life into them as gospel tunes. Her unmistakable style is added to "Standing On The Rock Where Moses Stood" "Feelin Mighty Fine" & "God Of The Mountain.
Produced by Justin Trevino, Norma Jean's Cowboy Church Gospel includes some of the finest Texas musicians including Jake Hooker, Jim Loessberg, Randy Lindley, Tim Alexander, Dicky Overbey, Reggie Reefer and Charley Walton. Fellow Heart of Texas Recording Artist Amber Digby lends her vocal harmony throughout the album. Norma Jean's Cowboy Church Gospel is the first new album in over five years from the Oklahoma native and is destined to become a favorite of Country Gospel fans througout the world.
