A traditional country music singer straight from the Texas dancehall's is all you'll find here. 'Cause when you go to see Kimberly perform, Honky Tonk is all your gonna hear. Kimberly Murray is an upcoming female country singer who loves performing classic country music. Kimberly has proved this countless times at various Texas Honky Tonks, Opry Houses, Fairs & Rodeos. She has performed as an opening act for such legends as Johnny Bush, Darrell McCall, Gene Watson, John Conlee, Curtis Potter, Frankie miller, Jody Nix, Leona Williams. She steadily continues to wow the crowds with her renditions of songs made popular by Connie Smith, Tammy Wynette, Ray Price, and Merle Haggard. But she doesn't stop there... songwriting is also very important to Kimberly. "My goal for my songwriting is to write new songs that sound as if they were written in the 50's or 60's" Kimberly said. "There was such an innocence and purity in music during that time - nothing like what you hear on today's modern country radio." Her tune "Honky Tonk Angel" (co-written by Nikki Barba) gets regular air play on Hard Country Radio 89.7 and Joe Belienski's radio program on Country Legends 92.1. It's the classic story of a barroom angel helping her man get over the other woman. The recording, Produced by Justin Trevino, is brought to life by Jake Hooker's Outsiders including the amazing steel guitar playing of Dicky Overbey. Kimberly continues to grow as a songwriter and recently teamed with Justin Trevino to pen four more traditional tunes. Aside from her desire to improve and grow as a songwriter she also studies the guitar and fiddle.
